Warlock #1-15 — These classic Bronze Age books cover the entire (and briefly interrupted) run of Marvel's beloved Adam Warlock series. The epic space saga begins with Roy Thomas scripting the tale of Adam Warlock on Counter-Earth. This original series was canceled after eight issues, just as Warlock confronted the evil Man-Beast (who had possessed President Rex Carpenter). That story was later resolved in the Hulk's solo title. When Warlock's own comic returned a year later (picking up with issue #9), Jim Starlin was in the midst of his own tale from the Captain Marvel title. That had Thanos and Gamora taking center stage before Warlock resolved his own death in #15 as the (second) final issue!
