EVENT AUCTION HIGHLIGHT: CONCERT POSTERS
ComicConnect, in our desire to represent the full spectrum of popular culture to our clientele, brings to auction a selection of CGC-graded original concert posters.
The fifty posters all hail from the Pacific Northwest and were created by noted poster artist Mike King as featured in his book “Maximum Plunder: The Poster Art of Mike King.” They span the period from the mid-1980s up into the 2000s and run the gamut from Alternative to Hip-Hop, Indy to Punk, Metal to Reggae, and more.
The posters are visually stunning and as they were created to advertise one or two shows, they were often discarded or destroyed after the performances. They are truly unique collectibles that represent memorable moments in music history.

Artists featured include Anthrax, De La Soul, Elliott Smith, Faith No More, Fugazi, Guided By Voices, Hole, Ice-T, Iron Maiden, Ministry, Motorhead, Oasis, Patti Smith, Public Enemy, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sepultura, Slipknot, Sonic Youth, The Cramps, The Melvins, The Offspring, The Romantics, The Stranglers, Tito Puente, Toots and the Maytals, and many more.
Winning bidders will also receive a free download of the Mike King book, Maximum Plunder. In addition, 50% of the final bid amount from each of the posters will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, who have distributed over 60 million pounds of food and household items to over 800 hunger feeding agencies including emergency pantries, soup kitchens, senior programs, shelters, and low-income daycares.
