Published in June of 1989, Jim Lee rendered a stunning cover that documents the Punisher’s historic 1st meeting with the most popular mutant in the Marvel Universe—none other than the Wolverine!
With both of his ejected claws shredding through the Punisher’s skull imprinted shirt with the blades crisscrossed together and forming an “X”—symbolizing his X-Men affiliation, you knew that Wolverine was about to clash with his antihero counterpart, who both made their comic book debuts only 8 months apart from each other—back in 1974!
Jim Lee did a phenomenal job capturing this legendary 1ST MEETING OF THE PUNISHER & WOLVERINE, and ensured each viewer was made aware of this monumental event with the front cover caption:
