The vile and villainous Vulture introduces a new twist in the fledgling Marvel Age by inspiring some of Ditko's earliest nightmarish visuals. That includes a classic cover featuring our hero in trouble against the backing of a bold red sky that had never been attempted on a Marvel book. Readers also get their first close look at Spidey's web-shooters as Peter Parker unveils his belt camera to make some money selling pics to J. Jonah Jameson's NOW magazine — in addition to Peter's first "tingle" from his "spider-sense!"
