Schomburg WWII Nazi swastika cvr (11/44)It's striking to note the variation in style used by the great Alex Schomburg when working for Better rather than Timely. His hysterical, line-heavy style used on the Timely stable of characters is tightened and smoothed into a more illustrative, muscular line for this and other powerful Better cover pieces. The Black Terror was far and away the small publisher's most WWII-oriented character, his imposing costume and terrorsome logo easily overpowering the Nazi swastika, and this is one of the most patriotic of covers.
