1967 printing
undervalued original Frazetta art; rare in higher gradesLancer Books began reissuing Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian stories from the 1930s, and brought in Frank Frazetta to provide legendary cover art that stood out on the paperback racks. This cover ("Volume Four," although numbered "9" on the spine) would be part of the success that gave new life to the pulp hero, with L. Sprague De Camp writing stories based on Howard's surviving notes. Copies of this popular series are rarely available in high grades.
