classic 1st Batmobile cover (and it's awesome); Joker app.
Batman #20 features the Batmobile roaring to life and crashing out of the newsstands for its first cover appearance, courtesy of classic art by Dick Sprang. Bob Kane's interior art is also all over this classic issue that features "Bruce Wayne Loses the Guardianship of Dick Grayson" — in which Batman briefly loses Robin to a shady uncle who can offer Dick Grayson a stable home away from Gotham's most frivolous playboy. (This is also a nice showcase for Wayne Manor's butler, making his final full appearance as the portly Alfred Beagle before heading off to a weight-loss resort.) There's also a wild Joker story where the Clown Prince of Crime (in his 20th appearance) uses a time-travel machine to terrorize a fellow criminal and a rich investor. The Batmobile only has a cameo in these stories, but the Dynamic Duo goes boating as they join the Gotham City Harbor Patrol in "The Lawmen of the Sea."
