1st appearance of Ghost Rider 2099!Hot on the heels of his career making turn illustrating Neil Gaiman's Death: The High Cost of Living (also with Buckingham) Bachalo set his sights on Marvel Comics, being tapped to draw the debut of the new 2099 version of the Spirit of Vengeance, part of the launch of the 2099 universe of titles. This is a great page from the debut issue of the title, featuring Kenshiro Cochrane, the new Ghost Rider, searching for the villainous Jeter. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition.
Artists Information
Chris Bachalo is a Canadian/American comic book artist/creator who's known for his cartoon-like style. Fans instantly recognize his art as he has worked for a number of publishers including DC, Image and Cliffhanger. Bachalo is most known for his work on Neil Gaiman's Death and is also famous for his work with Marvel where he co-created the comic Generation X and also penciled the famous X-Men story, Age of Apocalypse.
Mark Buckingham is most famous for his work on Marvelman (Miracleman, in the USA), Hellblazer, and Fables, including a story in the original graphic novel 1001 Nights of Snowfall. His Marvel work includes inking Chris Bachalo's pencils on Generation X, Ghost Rider 2099, and penciling Paul Jenkins's run on Peter Parker: Spider-Man. For DC Comics, Buckingham has inked the two Death miniseries and was the original penciller on the Titans series. In the 1990s Mark shared a studio with The Beano and Marvel artist Kev F. Sutherland, working together on Marvel's Star Trek and Doctor Strange.
