DESCRIPTION
17-page hand-typed script (plus three pages of revisions) for "The Dangerous Inheritance" from the color Sunday "Superman" newspaper comic strip, as written by Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel
Jerry Siegel was writing scripts as fast as he could in the wake of Superman's massive success after debuting in 1938's Action #1. The co-creator of the Man of Steel would type out the stories using mimeograph paper in his typewriter, before tearing off the mimeograph and submitting these legendary early stories for publication. There were plenty of hired hands helping Siegel's partner Joe Shuster keep up with the artwork, but these scripts are genuine artifacts of Jerry Siegel's own creative process in the early days of his timeless creation.
This 17-page hand-typed script includes three pages of revisions, all as written and typed by Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel. "The Dangerous Inheritance" would run in the color Sunday "Superman" newspaper comic strip from Aug. 4-Oct. 27, 1940.
