(In this case, of course, the Red Skull is a mere pawn of Johann Schmidt, who'll emerge from the shadows in Captain America #7.) This May, 1941 issue also boasts Stan Lee’s first published comics story, with the Timely Comics office boy scripting a text tale titled "Captain America Foils the Traitor's Revenge." Collectors are also getting the first “shield toss” where Cap’s shield is thrown with fierce accuracy.
