With only 43 copies in the CGC Census as of July '24, this book continually proves itself to be the most valued non-superhero collectible of the Golden Age. Alex Schomburg's classic cover for Suspense Comics #3 is a wild mix of multiple genres that remains as unforgettably sordid as when the comic hit the newsstands of 1944. (Unsurprisingly, the book is a regular presence in the Overstreet Price Guide list of the Top 100 Golden Age books.)

Few would argue that this key issue, filled with hooded Nazi Klansmen and a bound damsel in distress, offers Schomburg’s most infamous cover from the Golden Age. As a further testament to the industry's rampant talent of the time, the contents feature interior art by the legendary L.B. Cole and the grueling survival tale "83 Days on a Life-raft" (beloved enough by kids that many copies of Suspense #3 have the pages missing as the story was shared around the schoolyard).

ComicConnect is proud to offer this stalwart example of pre-code exploitation at an extremely rare investment-level grade. This 4.0 slightly restored copy is exceptional and sports a strong focal point that provides all the original impact of when Suspense Comics #3 hit the racks.
