Prize Comics #22 packs a lot of patriotic punch with Jack Binder's classic cover set against the background of the Statue of Liberty. The interior story, however, is a rare departure for the book's brotherly superheroes Yank and Doodle. The twins take a break from fighting Nazis to save a circus from a crazed killer. That leaves the Black Owl to expose a Japanese agent hiding beneath a furry mask in "The Black Owl Outwits The Fox." This is also the issue where Walt Walters starts to suspect that his sons Rick and Dick are secretly costumed superheroes. It won't be long before the Black Owl's millionaire alter-ego enlists in the Army, and Walt takes over the role — ultimately joining his sons to become the first crime-fighting superfamily!

This Prize Comics #22 is a typically rare Golden Age gem from the Ruben Blades Collection, with only 12 copies listed in the CGC Census — and minimal restoration in this striking copy that retains this classic book's original look and feel.
