A 15% BUYER'S PREMIUM WILL BE ADDED TO THIS ITEM AT CONCLUSION OF THE AUCTION ow/white pages scarce! Andy and Bertie backup story (Fall 1946) Ruben Blades CopyOriginally a Superman parody, Mighty Mouse quickly grew beyond his humble beginnings and took on a life of his own, appearing in short animated films, then on television throughout the 50s and 60s, as well as a couple of TV reboots in later decades. The musclebound rodent first showed up in comic book form in Terry-Toons Comics in 1945, then went on to star in his own book a year later. Mighty Mouse enjoyed a long tenure in four-color form at a variety of publishers for years to come. But this issue is his first self-titled comic, put out by Timely, the precursor to Atlas, and eventually Marvel Comics.
