Count Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, and the Bride of Frankenstein!During the 1990s, Universal Studios sought to cash-in on their Universal Monsters brand, making a concerted effort to push their beloved horror icons as films like Dracula and Frankenstein saw their 60th anniversaries approaching in 1991. Everything from VHS tapes, stamps, action figures and toys were marketed, as were Frito/Lay and M&M/Mars snack foods and beer. A special logo featuring six of Universal's most iconic Monsters – The Wolf Man, The Bride of Frankenstein, Frankenstein’s Monster, Count Dracula, The Creature from the Black Lagoon and The Mummy - were created and appeared on many of these products and advertising campaigns. This 17½” x 20” board spotlights highly detailed painted original art depicting Count Dracula in the background with his cape spread wide-open while The Bride of Frankenstein and Frankenstein’s Monster stand by their laboratory table. The artwork is circular in design and has circumference of 12¼. Of note, each monster’s face is exact in design as to how each creature appeared on the 1991-1996 Universal Monsters logo. With acetate and paper overlays attached at top. Extremely meticulous and colorful Classic Universal Monsters art! Mixed media. Art is in excellent good condition.
