Henry Kiefer art; cover; 1952; image size 14" x 21"This very bright and vivid cover painting features an Army soldier "holding up the rear" presumably against North Korean forces as his platoon places their wounded companion into a U.S. Army helicopter. "The-Best-Of-Only-3" surviving examples of H. C. Kiefer Painted comic book cover art to exist; of which New Heroic Comics #76 is the "Only Surviving Cover Art Example“ that is actually a "Korean War Cover". Mixed media. Art is in excellent good condition. Signed in red paint as published by H. C. Kiefer.
Also included are recreations of the title and cover text that can be added to the artwork if desired.
