Amazing Spider-Man #5 became a true fan favorite as Spider-Man faced off with Fantastic Four nemesis Dr. Doom — making his 1st appearance outside of the FF series! The action starts courtesy of J. Jonah Jameson offering a $1,000 bounty for Spider-Man's secret identity, which has Dr. Doom thinking that he can recruit Spider-Man to help battle the Fantastic Four. Before the action's all over, we have the first appearance of one of Dr. Doom's robotic clones, along with Flash Thompson in a Spider-Man suit and Peter Parker getting interested in Betty Brant. There's also a classic cameo as the befuddled Fantastic Four stop by after the fighting's all over. There's plenty of anticipation over Robert Downey Jr.'s upcoming turn as Dr. Doom for Marvel Studios, with a renewed wave of investors clamoring for collectibles featuring the iconic villain!
