James O'Barr pencils and inks; unpublished pin-up; c. 1990s; image size 9" x 12"Absolutely beautiful illustration by O'Barr, created for an unpublished Kitchen Sink Press book of Crow pin-ups that was sadly never published. Regardless, this is an extraordinary, vintage drawing of The Crow by his creator. The Crow, originally created by O'Barr as a way to cope with the terrible tragedy of the death of his girlfriend, was first published by Caliber Press in 1989. From there it would go on to become a smash hit, with a feature film in 1994 that spawned three sequels a reboot and a TV series. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition. Initialed in the image, signed underneath.
