Luis Dominguez pencils and inks; cover; 1975; image size 10" x 15"This cover by the incredibly prolific Dominguez is an excellent demonstration of what made his art so suited to DC's 1970s horror and mystery titles. The fear of the woman is palpable, the uncanny menace of the bird on the roof hangs over her, and only the reader can see the disaster lurking just around the corner, while the titular House of Mystery lurks knowingly in the background. Pure Bronze Age horror perfection. Pen and ink. Title block is a recreation on acetate overlay. Art is in excellent condition. Initialed by Dominguez.
