Bill Le Fever pencils and inks; illustration; c. late 1970s; image size 13.5" x 10.5"

Le Fever, after illustrating the first comprehensive drawing of Judge Dredd's famous bike (published on the back cover of 2000 AD prog. 89), took it upon himself to create an alternate design of his own creation. This drawing was created for his own personal gratification, and was sadly never completed. What was finished though is an incredibly interesting take, more classically futurist and streamlined, there's an alternate reality out there somewhere where this is the definitive take. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition. Signed by Le Fever on the reverse.

Included is a letter of provenance from Le Fever in which he explains the history of the drawing.
