All Winners Comics #13 provides some of the Golden Age's strangest adventures, starting with the Human Torch and Toro taking on "The Case of the Masked Strangler!!!" — aka the first Madame X to appear in comics, and she has a little secret. Things get weird for Captain America and Bucky as they take on the crazed human/plant hybrids of Dr. Botan. The Sub-Mariner simply goes after wartime gasoline profiteers in Long Island, while the Whizzer has to outrun the outlandish traps of Doctor Krool and "The Maze of Madness." Finally, in the most terrifying story, Captain America shows up to explain how to properly package products for wartime paper drives. A lot of comic books disappeared that way, which is why titles like All Winners Comics #13 (with a typically fabulous cover from Alex Schomburg) remain valuable holy grails for collectors!

This 7.0 All Winners Comics #13 sports vivid covers after 80 years, and is impressively sturdy in service of Alex Schomburg's classic cover. There's a lot of focal point to feature in Schomburg's wildly detailed art that crams characters into every corner. This is a typically scarce chance to own a Schomburg, as well, with only 56 copies of All Winners Comics #13 in the CGC Census — and only 12 graded higher!
