The short-lived Hyper Publications managed to publish two issues of Hyper Mystery Comics , both featuring Hyper the Phenomenal — with only 27 copies of this rare first issue making it to the CGC Census. That kind of obscurity has helped to make Hyper Mystery a top collectible of the Golden Age. The stories are told in a familiar Sunday-strip style, with Reg Greenwood's art frequently cited as some of the Golden Age's most overlooked work. Greenwood gets plenty of inspiration from this inventive tale that has Hyper (aka the magnetic and bulletproof U.S. agent Don-Vin) trying to stop the evil Delores and her gang from selling a deadly gas to overseas enemies.
