Sub-Mariner Comics #4 features another classic wartime cover from the legendary
Alex Schomburg, as an oversized Prince Namor swings a torpedo to take out some Nazis. As always, Schomburg offers action from stem to stern as the Axis forces take a beating. These stunning Schomburg covers are always in demand by Golden Age collectors, with colorful high-grade issues inspiring especially heated bidding.
The contents of this classic issue are pretty wild, as well. Sub-Mariner skips the Nazis and takes on apparitions and a scheming mad scientist in "Murders by Ghost Light." That's followed by Namor battling a Frankenstein Monster with a gangster's brain in "The Horror That Walked." The promised "eerie, thrilling" Angel story has the superhero taking on a maniacal pharmaceutical fall guy in "Death's Merry-Go-Round." That's in addition to Mickey Spillane's brutal war story "Fresh Meat for a Raider!" and Basil Wolverton's bizarre medical experiments in "Dr. Dimwit."
