Batman #6 features a classic Batman cover that shows the Batman cover formula well in place. There was a steady stream of work featuring the Dynamic Duo in cheerful action against imposing colorful backgrounds, with that enormous logo ready to loom over the other comics on the stands. The kids were also rewarded with one of Batman's wildest stories after being lured into handing over their dimes. This issue's stories include the wild criminal case of "The Clock Maker," with Bill Finger introducing one of Batman's wildest villains into the rogues' gallery. Bruce Wayne and his rich pals find themselves targeted by killer timepieces after offending a clock-store owner by mentioning that they like to "kill time." There's a fun twist as the outraged Clock Maker begins to go after the wastrels, leading up to an explosive finish that sadly puts an end to this fascinating villain. Batman's even inspired enough to lecture Robin (and the book's young audience) that the Clock Maker was pretty much right: "People who waste valuable time are really enemies of mankind!" Fortunately, the high concept would later be revisited in the Silver Age with the Clock King.

Highest-graded copy in the CGC Census! Batman has just marked 85 years of being one of the world's most beloved characters, and these vital early titles remain top investments for collectors. 2025 has already seen the debut of Season 5 of the
Harley Quinn animated series — with at least five more Batman series and features currently in development.
Hailing from the respected Allentown pedigree, this 9.6 copy of Batman #6 is the single highest-graded example listed on the CGC boards. The book is stunningly well-preserved, with a shimmering red background wash that perfectly contrasts with the image of the Caped Crusaders as they swing into view on the hook of a construction crane. The instant recognition of Batman and Robin in the collective human consciousness represents a worldwide phenomenon, which continues to have relevance and value in the modern day. Owning the top copy of this iconic issue would certainly afford one bragging rights amongst their peers, as well as being a savvy investment opportunity with plenty of upside potential. Books like this don’t show up at auction often, so don’t allow this one to pass you by.
