Beautiful painted illustration of Death and Delirium from Sandman, exquisitely rendered by Jean, who began his career in comics and has since gone on to be one of the most successful illustrators and gallery artists of his generation. Comic related images from Jean are impossible to acquire as he no longer accepts commissions for any comic book related characters, limiting the options to older pieces that have already been created. This pieces dates to early in his professional career while he was still the regular cover artist on Vertigo's Fables. Watercolor on paper. Art is in excellent condition. Signed and dated by Jean.
