Incredible Hulk #2 provides a second first appearance for the Hulk as the beloved brute became a pop-culture hero. Stan Lee demanded a change after a botched printing process for Incredible Hulk #1, changing the Hulk from a blotchy gray to the character's green-skinned glory. The key character would survive his own title’s quick cancellation to keep thrilling comics fans, eventually coming back with a top-selling book and a hit '70s television show. From there, the Hulk’s return to the big-screen Avengers reignited the public’s passion for both the troubled hero and his alter-ego of Dr. Bruce Banner.
