V2 #83; UK Edition (Sept. 4, 1937)Mickey Mouse Weekly was a British tabloid comics magazine that ran from 1936 to 1957. It was the first British comic to use full-color photogravure printing, giving the artwork a smooth, high-quality appearance that was influenced by American comics.
The magazine featured a mix of American Disney comic reprints and original British Disney content, including the first-ever Donald Duck comic book serial. On the back cover, it also reprinted the full-color Mickey Mouse comic strip continuities drawn by Floyd Gottfredson.
In total, 920 issues of Mickey Mouse Weekly were published between February 8, 1936 and December 28, 1957.
