Steve Ditko cvr/art; 1st app. of the QuestionCurrently owned by DC, the Blue Beetle has a long and storied past that is interwoven throughout the history of the comic book industry since the 1930s. Starting life in Fox Comics’ Mystery Men Comics #1 the Blue Beetle was a hot ticket item in the era, even enjoying some success as a radio star with his own series. During the post-war hero bust, BB found himself languishing in obscurity until Fox sold their properties to Charlton Comics in the 50s where he would be revived for a short period by the house staff to some small success. The character would bounce around Charlton for some time before Steve Ditko rebooted the series in 1967 which would go on to become a cult classic of sorts thanks to the loyal fans of the beloved artist.
