DESCRIPTION

Darwyn Cooke blueline pencils and inks; page 20; 2007; image size 9" x 15.25"Incredibly rare Spirt page inked by Cooke, from the story 'Media Man' featuring the Spirit battling The Cossack, all rendered with Cooke's signature style. The inking is credited to J. Bone who did ink the majority of the series, however, for reasons related to deadlines, or possibly because Darwyn wanted to ink some pages, there were several over the series' run that were inked by Cooke, these are easily identified by Cooke's signature, all of the Bone inked pages are signed by Bone. The page was inked over a blueline printout of Cooke's original pencils, which is another indicator of him inking it himself as the inks liberally stray away from the underlaying pencils, something Bone would never have done. Pencil on paper. Art is in excellent condition. Signed by Cooke and noted 'inks only'.
