Production drawing; c. 1930s; image size 3.5" x 3.25"Beautiful drawing of Koko the Clown, Max Fleisher's first animated success. Koko originally appeared in the 1920s 'Out of the Inkwell' series of shorts. This drawing depicts Kok as he appeared in the early 1930s when he was teamed up with Betty Boop and her dog Bimbo. Drawings of Koko, and other very early Fleisher characters are very collectible and represent the vestiges of some of the earliest days of animation. The drawing is beautifully matted and framed to 16" x 16.5" and is in excellent condition.
