Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #2 is just the start of what became an industry legend, with the beloved book still technically existing as the longest-running and best-selling comic of all time. Even more amazing, this title was picking up the publishing of Disney characters after Mickey Mouse Magazine had shuttered after a five-year run. As you can see by the classic cover, Walt Disney's Comics and Stories launched late in the year, with Donald Duck just missing out on his Thanksgiving dinner. It's a favorite work of many Donald Duck fanatics, with the ill-tempered mallard in full-on tantrum mode — under pretty weird circumstances, if you think about it.
