Jungle Comics #11 combines three of the most popular Golden Age trends on one amazing cover! As an early protégé of Jungle art director Will Eisner, cultish cover artist Dan Zolnerowich ran with the title's wild vision of mixing jungle action with dinosaurs and other fantasy elements — plus some old-fashioned Good Girl art for a touch of pulp-styled spice! Kaanga takes over the cover as the proper star of Jungle Comics#11, all set to plunge his blade into the head of a rampaging reptile. (That's his female city-girl companion Ann Mason getting ready to toss a spear at a strangely brutal brontosaurus.) There's also a few detours into Egypt, but this sort of eye-catching cover art really kept Jungle Comics flying off newsstand shelves throughout the 40s and 50s.
