Designed to help promote and educate people about the New York World's Fair of 1939-40, this comic features Superman and Sandman tales penned especially for the release. Many Golden Age luminaries were involved in this all-star offering, including Siegel and Shuster, Bob Kane, Sheldon Moldoff, and Gardner Fox. The cover features a wonderful illustration of the iconic Trylon and Perisphere, as comic fans may know the Perisphere went on to be prominently featured in Michael Chabon's paean to the Golden Age of comics, "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay." The book is also historically important, as it's among the first exposures of Superman to the general public and the first indication that comics were becoming a force to be reckoned with.
