Irwin Hasen WWII tank cvrEchoing some of the finest Superman covers of the wartime era, the Irwin Hasen illustration that dons Green Lantern #5 is pure Golden Age power. This issue deals with GL and the gang's adventure in the Sahara battling a mysterious foe by the name of the Black Prophet, later on the trail eventually leads back to the Lantern's familiar WWII foe, Captain Kortz, whose evil plans are once again thwarted by our titular hero.
