DESCRIPTION
ow/w pgs; (A-5) ct, pcs added, tear seals, reinforced, cleaned, interior lightened, all 3 edges trimmed
1st appearance of Spider-Man (Peter Parker) w/ origin, 1st Uncle Ben & Aunt May (8/62); Jack Kirby cover, Steve Ditko art; Comic Book Impact rating of 10 (CBI)

Amazing Fantasy #15 ushered in the first appearance of Spider-Man, quickly becoming the Silver Age equivalent of Action #1 as both a cultural artifact and important investment for collectors. The teen hero shook up the comics industry in his first appearance as a neurotic Everyman gifted with extraordinary powers. There was also a different kind of tragic backstory fueled by Peter Parker’s guilt over the death of his Uncle Ben. Marvel brought in Jack Kirby to catch the eyes of kids with one of the best covers in comics history; Steve Ditko took over the interior art while working with co-creator Stan Lee on this legendary debut.

All that innovation made for a timeless collectible that's kept Spider-Man (and Peter Parker) swinging for over 60 years as one of the most iconic and collectible characters in comics. Spidey remains the biggest star of all variations on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, helping to establish Amazing Fantasy #15 as one of the most reliable investments in comics history.

The extensive restoration work done on this comic has potentially made it look better than any original condition copy could possibly appear, even at the same grade. The comic has the immaculate presentation of a newly printed modern comic, and it is truly a sight to behold. Professionally restored books have been climbing in value as acceptance of restored comics continues to grow around the collecting community. There are absolutely no imperfections here, as the corners, spine, colors, and centering have been imbued with a perfection rarely (if ever) seen in a comic from the Silver Age. This remarkable copy of one of the most valuable comics in the history of the industry, with tons of historical gravitas, at a restored price point is a recommended investment.
