Jack Davis pencils and inks; "Kaleidoscope' page 1; 1955; image size 13" x 19.5"
Beautiful EC title splash from the incomparable Davis, from the story 'Kaleidoscope' a tale in the trademark EC mold. Davis didn't draw a lot of Sci-Fi stories at EC, and this one from the final issue of Incredible Science Fiction shows how much of a shame that was, with it's superb detail and sense of wonder, Davis was one of the finest artists to ever draw a comic book, and this page is a perfect example of why. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition. Signed by Davis.

John Burton Davis, Jr. was an American cartoonist and illustrator, known for his advertising art, magazine covers, film posters, record album art and numerous comic book stories. He was one of the founding cartoonists for Mad in 1952.
