Dave Gibbons pencils and inks; The Comedian illustration; c. 2000s; image size 8.5" x 15"The Comedian, depicted as he appeared in the 2009 feature film version of the classic comic by Alan Moore and Gibbons. Beautiful illustration of The Comedian by his co-creator, including his trademark smiley badge. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition. Signed by Gibbons.

Dave Gibbons is a self taught English Comic book artist, who began in the industry doing pencils for British underground comics. Gibbons later grew to fame illustrating pages for DC's Green Lantern and Doctor Who weekly published by Marvel. Dave Gibbons most notable projects was the highly admired Watchmen (1986) written by Alan Moore.
