Once again, Bucky is bound up with rope as a sinister Nazi monster is on the verge of injecting him with paralyzing serum. Captain America arrives just in time to help out his protege as der Fuhrer awaits another patriotic pummeling in the background. These Golden Age WWII covers are like candy for collectors of a certain stripe, who always duke it out over these classics whenever they come up for auction. All sorts of anthology thrills and chills are featured in this book including an appearance by the Whizzer and art by Chic Stone.
This QES-certified copy of USA Comics #9 has been praised for its impressive prime focal area, beautiful right edge, and deep red, yellow, and blue color strike. With only 40 copies recorded on the CGC census, this book is incredibly hard to find, making it a definite target for serious GA collectors. There is only one copy graded higher than this book, making this one of the two second-best examples known. This comic would be a wonderful addition to any wartime collection or investment portfolio.
