The cover copy for this collectible classic declares that Kang the Conqueror "is destined to rank as one of the most unique villains of all time!" Stan Lee wasn't kidding, either. This first appearance establishes how the time-traveling Kang had already taken on the Fantastic Four in his earlier incarnation as Rama-Tut, while demonstrating how Dr. Doom inspiring his new persona. Kang the Conqueror would become one of the Silver Age's most influential figures. Of course, this first appearance also became a valuable part of modern comics history as Kang began playing a vital role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
