The first meeting between Captain America and Nick Fury in the pages of a Marvel comic is truly a momentous event. In this issue Cap and Bucky enlist the aid of the Howling Commandos and foil a Nazi plot to dig a tunnel under the English Channel. The job is too big for the First Avenger and his sidekick to handle alone, so they call in Fury and his boys for backup. The tale that ensues involves a great deal of fun and fighting, highlighted by the always amazing art of Jack Kirby and a classic script by the one and only Stan Lee. The cover is worth the price of admission alone, as it is one of the iconic images of the Marvel Age, which every devoted House of Ideas fan should have in their collection.
