DESCRIPTION

Keith Pollard pencils and inks; unpublished cover; 1978; image size 10" x 15"Beautiful cover by Pollard, that for some reason went unused, the published cover is a very similar composition drawn by Dave Cockrum. This would have been the cover to the very first Spider-Man/Moon Knight crossover. It's possible the cover is not inked by Pollard, his Peter Parker covers from the time are almost all inked by other artists, there is no indication on the artwork one way or another. The back of the art is stamped 1981, this is likely the date the art was returned and not indicative of when it was created. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition.
The title paste-up is a recreation on an acetate overlay.

Keith Pollard is probably best known for drawing all of the character profiles in the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe. He also had a long career working on such Marvel titles as The Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Thor, Master of Kung Fu, and Deadly Hands of Kung Fu.
