Toying with an idea that was much utilized in future story lines, this early Hulk tale grapples with idea of the man trapped within the monster, their struggles to control their shared anatomy and the possibilities of the partial emergence of one persona into the other. The plot involves General Ross and his attempt to get help from Bruce Banner to deal with the evil Metal Master, who wreaks all forms of metallic havoc before being caught and ultimately cowed by the big green Goliath, and forced to clean up his own mess.
