Steve Ditko cover/art; origin & 1st app of Molten Man; Peter Parker graduated High-School; very rare in high-gradeSteve Ditko continually rose to the challenge of creating memorable Spider-Man villains alongside Stan Lee, and the classic cover of Amazing Spider-Man #28 is one of the book's greatest early achievements. The cover is certainly worthy of Marvel's brief period of proclaiming their books to be "Pop Art Productions,." Ditko's innovative use of darkness to illustrate the menace of the Molten Man has also made it very difficult to find this gorgeous cover in a high grade. Fortunately, the interior art is just as gripping, with the creative team also capturing the awkward rituals of adolescence as Peter Parker graduates from high school.
