Wonder Woman made her second appearance in Sensation Comics #1, with a cover debut that turns this classic comic into a pop-culture touchstone. H.G. Peter's outstanding cover remains the most iconic image of Wonder Woman from across the Comic Ages. Sensation #1 also remains the moment when William Marston's heroine exploded onto the Golden Age scene while establishing DC's superhero trinity.
In further milestones, "Wonder Woman Arrives in Man's World" has the Amazon returning Steve Trevor to America and taking on the identity of Diana Prince. From there, Wonder Woman quickly became an inspiring role model to millions of girls and women from around the world. This issue is also the debut of Peter's artistic vision, which combines the crude grace of ancient Greek artists with the majesty of storybook illustration. H.G.
